Empowering Women in Renovation

CONNECTING - EMPOWERING - ELEVATING

The Importance of women in the Renovation industry

Women play a crucial role in the renovation industry, bringing diverse perspectives, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. Their presence helps challenge traditional gender norms, fosters innovation, and improves workplace culture. As homeowners often make key renovation decisions, having women in the industry enhances communication and customer experience. Encouraging more women to join the field can also help address labor shortages, promote inclusivity, and elevate craftsmanship standards. That is why we have created a space for women only at ContractHersAlliance. At contracthersalliance.com you can join other women in the trades around the world to discuss, learn and support each other.

ContractorHers Alliance Commitment

ContractHer Alliance is committed to empowering female renovators by providing the resources, education, and community support needed to thrive in the industry. Through specialized training, mentorship programs, and networking opportunities, we aim to break down barriers and create a more inclusive industry. Our platform highlights successful women in the field, offers targeted business growth strategies, and fosters a supportive environment where female contractors can connect, learn, and succeed. A $5 sign-up fee for Contractors Alliance Canada helps maintain a safe and respectful community by acting as a small barrier to entry, which discourages spam accounts and trolls. It ensures that members are genuinely interested in being part of the community rather than casually joining without commitment. This small investment fosters a more dedicated and engaged membership base, creating a safer and more supportive space for professionals to share knowledge, network, and grow their businesses.

The Right Angle on Health

At Contractors Alliance Canada, we know that taking care of your body is just as important as taking care of your business. That’s why we created Right Angle on Health, a dedicated resource to help tradespeople fuel, move, and recover like the professionals they are.

Donna leads this initiative with over 23 years of experience as a certified nutritionist and personal trainer. Having worked with clients from all walks of life—including tradespeople—Donna understands the unique physical demands of the job site: early mornings, long hours, heavy lifting, and the wear and tear that builds up over time.

Through Right Angle on Health, Donna provides practical, no-nonsense advice on:

  • Nutrition: fueling your body for strength, energy, and endurance

  • Fitness: building a body that holds up on (and off) the job site

  • Recovery and Injury Prevention: simple routines to keep you working longer and feeling better

Our goal isn’t to turn you into a gym rat—it’s to help you move better, feel better, and extend your career by taking care of the most important tool you own: your body.

Whether you’re a young apprentice or a seasoned veteran, Donna’s tips, videos, and programs will give you the tools to perform at your best—on the job and at home.
